
Handig is an AI application that helps general practices reduce phone pressure. The application acts as a digital link between clients and the doctor’s assistant. Clients can talk to Handig to request repeat prescriptions, report medical symptoms or ask other non-medical questions. This significantly reduces the workload of doctor’s assistants.
The AI guides the conversation, asks focused follow-up questions and then structures the information for the doctor’s assistant. This gives the assistant a clear overview of the client’s request or symptoms, without having to handle the full conversation by phone.
Reducing phone pressure and improving information
Many calls to general practices are about recurring or administrative questions, such as requesting repeat prescriptions, sharing information or asking practical questions. Handig helps automate these conversations while clients are already waiting on the phone, making this waiting time more useful.
When clients report medical symptoms, Handig does not make assessments or medical decisions. The AI only asks follow-up questions to describe the complaint clearly. The collected information is then structured for the doctor’s assistant, helping them understand the situation faster and support the client more efficiently.
Presented at Games for Health

ImproVive presented Handig at Games for Health Europe. There, we showed how AI can be used in a practical and careful way within healthcare. The application demonstrates how conversational AI can help reduce workload, without removing the human role of the healthcare professional from the process.
