We provide training in an Operating Room in Virtual Reality for the University Medical Center Utrecht. The aim is to familiarize surgical assistants and anesthesia assistants with the design of an operating room and to train them in preparing an operating room.
For this ,we have recreated all relevant equipment in 3D and made it interactive. A student can now independently familiarize themselves with the space and equipment without the need for a physical practice room. VR also allows multiple students to train simultaneously and requires less guidance from experienced healthcare professionals.
In consultation with UMCU, we discuss how this training can also be used outside the UMCU and Utrecht University.
