Keeping up with new technology and methods can be difficult. The Digi-coach kiosk application provides an easy way to talk about digital learning methods and blended learning with an interactive digi-coach, a Virtual Human avatar. The application can advise on methodology, provides examples of new tools, or references existing courses and tools that relate to their topic. The digital coach can also support a conversation with selected images and information from it’s knowledge base.
The digital coach’s expert advise uses a custom knowledge base. As an input we used documents, images and audio interviews. We have implemented a tailor made expert system using Large Language Model (LLM) based on RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation). The expert can switch between different types of advice modes based on the user’s request. In this way the dialogue can change between high level advice on learning approach, or help finding reference examples within the current organisation. It can also zoom in on different technologies that can be combined in blended learning from white boards and interactive polls to podcasts, interactive videos, VR, and serious games
Digi-coach works with 2D screen, as a PC application and is being implemented in a kiosk setting.
