On March 19, 2026, the XR Creators Connect meetup will focus on how GenAI is changing the work within XR — both how we build and what we can build.
Roger ter Heide from ImproVive is one of the speakers.
There is no escaping it: generative AI, large language models, AI-assisted coding, 3d art generation, etc are changing what it means to build digital products, also in our world of XR. In this edition of XRCC NL we’ve asked a few people who are at the forefront of this change to tell us all about it: what works, what doesn’t, what it changes and which new possibilities it enables. We think it’ll be a very interesting edition!
Speakers
Roger ter Heide will talk about how ImproVive combines VR and AI to create Virtual Humans: AI-powered avatars that can respond both verbally and non-verbally. Over the past two years, ImproVive has developed more than ten conversational AI applications for training, museum installations, expert coaches, a recruitment game, and a guide within a multiplayer VR environment.
Other speakers include:
Stijn Spanhove – Software Engineer at In The Pocket – Featured examples XR en AI.
He has a talent for building interesting projects that go viral, win hackathons and competitions, and are simply great to look at. His creations often include an AI element, for example to transform his environment using AR.
Philipp Sieben – PixelArtistry – Youtube channel AI powered 3D creation.
There are few people who are as up to date with the state of the art in AI-driven 3D art creation, with a realistic view of both its strengths and limitations.
This edition will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at B’GAME Incubator in Breda. Registration and more information are available via. Eventbrite.
