On Friday, October 11, we attended the “Coming Out” breakfast at the City Hall of the Municipality of Amersfoort, organized as part of Diversity Week. ImproVive brought something special: our innovative AI installation that allowed visitors to interact with Claire and Frank, two AI-driven characters, each with their own story. Claire and Frank asked questions about “coming out,” delving into personal experiences and comparing them with stories from others. This offered a powerful way to discover new perspectives.

Our AI installation demonstrated how technology can contribute to gathering and sharing stories, which is essential in today’s time of increasing polarization. In collaboration with SDGHUB.NL, we aim to collect even more stories about diversity and inclusion. The goal? To increase empathy, foster understanding, and thus counter polarization and discrimination.
Alderman Micheline Paffen-Zeenni opened this meaningful session, during which two personal stories from rainbow families were shared. Amersfoort, a city that holds inclusion in high regard, celebrated this moment by raising the rainbow flag.
