Body Echoes explores the combination of Virtual Reality and Dance with the aim of creating a performance, based on collaborative self-expression. The project studies a range of possibilities for multiple people to embody a single being in VR. In correlation, it will investigate multiple perspectives for audience engagement.
The project aims to bring VR and dance together in the form of a performance. The study will look at the possibilities for multiple people to embody one entity together in a shared VR experience. The research questions mainly focus on aspects such as choreography, visual perspective in VR, play and real-time animation. The goal is to lay the foundation for an interactive public performance.
Body Echoes is a project with Doron Hirsch, and a number of dancers. Creative Industry Fund NL granted a start-up grant as part of the digital culture fund in The Netherlands.
