We make conversation training easier
One of the common ways to practice conversations is through role-playing. However, not many people enjoy this. Arranging a training actor, a training location, and the limited time per individual, are all reasons to create more practice opportunities through digital training. Previously, digital training was of limited to multiple-choice challenges. With AI, we can now offer training that directly responds to the trainee both verbally and non-verbally.
ImproVive has a solution that allows for the development and delivery of both simple or complex training scenarios. We support learning developers, teachers, trainers, and HR staff in developing their own training through a simple interface. We can also make custom adjustments to the environment, characters, and structure of the training to match company-specific learning objectives and conditions.
Examples of training include HR conversations, sales conversations, job interviews, patient conversations, team training, training on compliance, discrimination, or prevention of undesirable behaviour.

Virtual Humans are part of an medium that immerses you in another world. With AI-driven Virtual Humans, it is possible to confront people in a playful way with a different perspective, allowing them to gain new insights. We use AI for social issues such as discrimination and exclusion or for companies that want to raise awareness within their own organization. At Museum de Heksenwaag, we demonstrated with the installation “Anders!?” how topics like exclusion and discrimination during the witch trials are still relevant in the current era of social media. We achieve this through playful yet impactful interactive stories in which the user participates.
At ImproVive, we are now working on using AI technology to bring attention to topics such as World War II, sexism, and sexual harassment.

We create new experiences that were impossible without AI
We love discovering new possibilities. Collaborating with artists not only inspires us but also provides new insights that we apply to our other applications. We experiment a lot with identity and embodiment to explore how we see ourselves and others. Virtual Humans are a way to reflect on yourself in a conversation with another. We did this for Museum de Heksenwaag with the installation “Anders?! – Exclusion then and now.” We are now also working with other museums to use AI to make their stories more personal and interactive.
In the VR experience Shuffles and Seeds, we explored how players experience their avatar changing over time. We used AI to store players’ movements in a collective memory. The player could then experience how their movements triggered memories from the collective memory.

ChatGPT, Generative AI or LLM?
Almost everyone knows ChatGPT, an AI chat system provided by OpenAI. ChatGPT can answer a question with an additional explanation if needed (it uses a technology called Generative AI or Large Language Model). Systems like ChatGPT are not always accurate in their answers. But we combine this type of technology with other systems to arrive at the correct solution. But if you do not want send your information to a server in the US, there are several options to use a European server. Providers like Microsoft, Google, and others offer AI services in their cloud.
